Something you didn’t know about stand-up comedienne Mandy Knight: Mandy Knight was trained at “Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art” but began showing off her stand-up comedy skills as fears arose of ending up in never ending show rehearsals in crap fringe theatre!
Comedian Biog: Mandy Knight
A true dame of British stand-up, Mandy Knight was the first female to compere The Comedy Store and many other previously men only bastions. A fully trained classical actress, she initially chose stand up to avoid spending her days in the rubbish world of fringe theatre. Since then she has never looked back, headlining venues all over the world and appearing on numerous television and radio shows. Winner of the Time Out Best Female Comic award, she has performed four one-woman shows in Edinburgh, London and Sydney. On TV she has appeared as a main character in Jo Brand’s Like it or Lump it, hosted Love Time and worked with David Baddiel in his last series The Baddiel Syndrome.
