First of all we hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a fantastic new year. We’re sure you’ll be thinking some new years resolutions about now but lets take a look back at December whilst you think.
Acts buzzing from The Comedy Club’s busy corporate division include Rudi Lickwood, Terry Alderton, Paul Zerdin and Tim Clark plus many more. Performing at events ranging from benefit gigs for Cricketer David Nash to compering award ceremonies and raising the roof with laughter at Evershed’s end of year conference they have been firing on all cylinders from day 1 in December.
Our Comedy Clubs have also enjoyed huge success over the Christmas period. Whether filled with friends, families or work parties, our Comedy Clubs have held some great shows over the month and looking to make a great start in 2008. The Comedy Club also has more exciting news with the ever strengthening position of the brand - we are now No1 on Google! This stirring news is sure to benefit all our Comedy Clubs and help those looking for top corporate or club entertainment find the best name in Comedy that bit more easily! Don’t forget to look out for more new Comedy Clubs coming near you in 2008 either.
On the flip side to The Comedy Club’s success in December, online gossip website Holy Moly has been forced to publish a formal apology to Peter Kay! Holy Moly wrongly nicknamed Kay the ‘Gag-Pie’ and said Key was ’stealing anything comedic that glitters’, a sorry mistake as Kay’s lawyers quickly picked up on the story. Funnily enough, Holy Moly has since admitted the allegations were totally unfounded, will pay all legal costs and make a donation to Charity. That’s one Christmas cracker that backfired!

I’m pleased to say we have just booked Terry Alderton in to the Waterfront Place, Chelmsford on 21st Feb. For all future Comedy Club listings for Terry, please just use the comedians page. Every venue a comedian is due to play at will appear as Club listings under their biogs.

Jusy saying ‘good on you’ for Peter Kay. The man is a comic genius and in imo has written some of the best material and performed some of the best shows in recent times.
The fact that Holy Moly is a ‘gossip site’ speaks volumes about the stories it reports so should get everything that comes to it.
I’m a big follower of Comedy and like to think i know what i’m talking about. For this reason, Comedy Club - keep up the great work! I haven’t been to a Comedy Club show which i haven’t enjoyed and look forward for many more to come.

When are you going to get John Mann back at Chelmsford, He is easily the best compere at the club but we hardly ever see him. Is he going to be on at any of your clubs soon ?
