Phil Butler’s advertising debut couldn’t have come with more impact. Seen singing in the new AA Breakdown Advert, Phil joins one of the most recognisable ad campaigns in recent years so you’ll be seeing even more of Phil over the coming months.
Not to be out done, acts across the comedy circuit have been working like mad before Edinburgh Festival comes in August. John Ryan’s been gigging in Singapore, th Mediterranean and throughout London as part of his ’Men’s Mental Health Project’. Rudi Lickwood’s also been performing across the world with shows on a Caribbean Cruise, for the armed forces in Cyprus and even producing a comedy workshop in Wales for hopeful comedians.
Great news for Funny Business Winners Kevin Coleman and Rod Woodward too. Kevin has really taken to the UK comedy circuit and is successfully opening and closing shows across the country. With requests for performances even coming from Ireland! Rod Woodward’s also set down the marker for new corporate and club entertainment. Received brilliantly at a recent corporate event in Sheffield, Rod’s a sure fire hit with a huge range of audiences, fingers crossed for the future.

I saw him! At least i think i did. I think he’s the bald guy in the last cut of the advert, well done Phil. Keep it up! Hope you come back to Milton Keynes soon.

I haven’t seen Rod or Kevin perform but would really like to considering they won the funny business competition. Do you have any videos of their performances so i can see if they’re as funny as made out?

Glad you’ve got an eye out for Kevin and Rod. You can find one of Rod’s performances at http://www.comedycorporate.com. It was recorded whilst supporting Paddy McGuiness on his national tour in Wales. You’ll also shortly be able to see Kevin and this is tied into our Mediatheme project ‘Laugh Down Your Local’, you’ll have to wait until the official release to catch this though.
