February News
This month TV’s beckoning call was answered by Lynn Chambers, one half of the brilliant comedy duo Chambers & Nettleton. Following glowing reports on Lynn, Chuchill Insurance leapt at the chance to have Lynn perform for their latest commercial . Due to be aired soon, there is a big buzz around the duo as they are lined up for yet more performances, both on stage and camera.Â
John Ryan stepped out of his normal role as he performed at the Karnak Comedians Carnal Knowldge event. Appearing as a guest panelist in the Sex Quiz, John’s knowledge was tested to the limits, but as Project Manager Pigalle Tavakkoli happliy commented, ’he took the bull by the horns and leapt straight in, he had the audience in stitches and got big cheers from the men in the audience’. Phil Butler was hot-stepping his way around Iraq and Kosovo nearly the whole month in a project running with CSE to keep our armed forces in the best of spirits. Needless to say Phil was a big hit and will be back out again shortly! Top black comedian Rudi Lickwood also performed a great gig in Ireland with former ‘Father Ted’ star Kevin Gildea and comedy legend Michael Smiley, arranged in the infamous Westin Hotel for The Specialist Company. John Ryan then remained closer to home as he put in a string of critically acclaimed performances as a part of the Leicester Comedy Festival. Gigs included everything from a Youth Offenders Institute to a Kids Shows, is there anything this man cant do?!Â
Whether they’re hopping from country to country or wowing the local venue, the UK’s top comedians and The Comedy Club will always be there, rain or shine!

Hi there,
I have never seen Kevin Gildea before and wondered if he will be doing any other shows than just the printworks in manchester?
Cheers

Kevin does not really gig on the Comedy Circuit anymore as he is writing a lot of new material behind the scenes. His appearance at our Printworks gig is therefore a rare one and came about after the corporate gig. If you can manage to make it that would be great, if not just keep your ear to the ground.
Thanks for your question

A lot of the acts on your site do this CSE thing and i keep reading about it. What exactly is it because it seems really good.
Cheers, Ed

Hi Eddy,
CSE stands for Combined Services Enterainment. Essentially it stand for the provison of entertainment for our armed forces over-seas. This can take the comedians anywhere from Afghanistan, Iraq, the Falklands, Bosnia and even Cyprus. These are prestigious gigs and if a comedian gets the chance to work with CSE it is certainly seen with great kudos in the industry.
Hope this has been of some help
