We’ve finally finished December, and what a month it’s been! From the 1st to the 31st our acts, clubs and corporate arm have as always been enjoying the festive season. Stephen K Amos was called in with a brilliant reception at his gig for a top UK firm, his experience, fantastic energy and warmth never fails to bring any event or club to life.
Man City Football club had the pleasure and comedic talent of Brian Higgins and Ronnie Edwards throughout December and they certainly weren’t disappointed. Kevin McCarthy was talk of the city once again after his corporate event with Athena Meetings, it’s surely only a matter of time before his talent is recognised by those TV Producers. Phil Butler found his feet touching ground in Afghanistan this December, a shock to some but a challenge Phil reveled in. Despite testing times for our troops overseas, we’ve had news that the troops enjoyed the comedy and Phil Butler more than ever. A testament to his boundless confidence a razor sharp wit.
After an one of the most eventful and fast moving years The Comedy Club and comedy industry has seen, it’s great to look forward and wonder what 2007 holds. One thing is for sure, look out for even more Comedy Clubs coming to a venue near you!

Hi there,
I am new to the UK and would like to come along to a comedy club. I have never been to one before but gather that comedy is very good and growing in England. Is there anything i should look out for when choosing a place to go?

Hi Johnny,
I take it you didn’t move here for the climate? Joking aside, great to have you here and looking to get into comedy. The venues we can suggest obviously depend on where you live in the country as we have clubs all over the UK. Simply go to our venues page and click on the club nearest you, you’ll find full comedian line-ups and all the gig details you need.
Which ever club you choose, there will be the UK’s top stand-up comedians performing on various nights of the week, so just take your pick, they’re all great nights out.
