October News
The Comedy Club has been in high demand through October. Organisations calling for our services have ranged from the Army, television companies such as the BBC and Channel 4, a major pharmaceutical company entertained by Steve Rawlings and Laughing Lunches who entertain a whole range of other corporate clients.
Working closely with The Comedy Club this month have been the producers of the new TV show, Get me the Producer. Due to be aired on Channel 4’s primetime schedule come 2007, Rudi Lickwood was selected to be the subject comedian for the hour long show which is certainly a success and new avenue for the UK’s biggest hitting black stand-up comedian.
The BBC was also hot on our tail, with the new English language comedy programme ‘Never Mind the Fullstops’ needing some warm up entertainment, they called The Comedy Club in. Filmed towards the end of October, the acts supplied went down a storm so keep you eyes here for more exciting projects with the biggest names in the entertainment.

Nice new website by the way, like this blogging. I always keep an eye on the latest news, i like to see what’s being filmed and will be big in 2007 so i can tip my mates off when it comes on TV! I’ll definately be watching out for Rudi on ‘Get me a Producer’. I saw him in Milton Keynes and have never laughed so much.

You mention about a ‘ Comedy Club Series’ in some of your monthly news stories. How’s that coming along, and also will it be coming to Sunderland again? Thanks

Hi Andrew, there’s been so many twists with this. Projects for Ian Franklin and The Comedy Club are ranging from; finding the next new comedy prodigy, starting a range of clubs abroad, to running our clubs all over the UK. Just keep an eye on our monthly news and our weekly news for more information on this.
Thanks for the question.
