June News
Yet again we celebrated another venue becoming apart of the Comedy Club. This time it was a Thistle Hotel at the impressive situation of Brands Hatch. Our very own Scotsman Brian Higgins opened the night with a characteristically energetic display on an evening which has set up many more comedy nights to come.
Staying with the venues, we were also pleased to announce Carlisle Racecourse has also come aboard so our designer is back in full flow creating leaflets and flyers for this exciting new venue.
It turns out June has been quite a busy month for venue news! We are announcing the first ever Comedy Club for Families. Specially created for families with children who are 8+ years, this is a revolutionary and truly unique way for families to laugh and enjoy time together. Set in Basildon at Kidspace, each show will feature three exceptional comedians especially chosen to be suitable for such a show. This is a leap forward for family entertainment!
The Funny Business Theatre Tour’s flyers are printed with the anticipated success of the BBC documentary. The business is moving fast but before the acts get a chance to get involved with the theatre tour, they were whisked away to once again entertain our armed forces on shores far away. Rudi Lickwood and Kevin McCarthy flew to Afghanistan and if nothing else, at least laughter always breaks through the ranks!
Phil Butler on the other hand, found himself about as far away from Afghanistan as you can get yet still with the armed forces; he had the honour of going to our troops in the Falklands.
